Jazmin M
Jazmin moved to LA on her own at 17 from the eastern Coachella Valley, now 18 she is very happy she did. She’s a women’s studies major and also happily a part of the Santa Monica College Feminists Majority Leadership club. The ERA is something Jazmin believes in and looks forward to the day it becomes constitutional. MaryGrace B
Mary Grace is a last year student at Santa Monica College, with high hopes of transferring to UCLA. She strives to be as active as possible on the college campus and holds an officer position in Santa Monica College’s Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance. As a recovering athlete, balancing sport, education, and work has taught Mary Grace that strong work ethic and perseverance can take one to great places and new heights. Mary Grace hopes to take this knowledge and apply it to whichever path her life may take, whether it be her interest in fashion and the representation of women in the media or as a writer and political campaign worker. Mary Grace also attributes her deep love of coffee as one of the driving forces in her life.
Heidi J
Heidi grew up in Santa Monica and Malibu, CA and graduated from a boarding school in Indiana, La Lumiere High School. It is at Santa Monica College in Professor Melanie Klein’s Women’s Studies class that she discovered Feminism. Heidi is currently serving as President of Santa Monica College Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance. She is dedicated to developing herself as a fierce feminist to serve in a lifetime of activist work fighting against patriarchal oppression and promoting women empowerment.
